Working with Scofield Homes was one of the best decisions we've ever made. We had previously worked with Sean and Melissa on a bathroom remodel in our 1945 home, so when it came time to consider building an ADU where our garage once stood, we knew exactly who to call. The build team with Scofield is second to none. Sean carefully assembled a top quality team with the experience and expertise to build our solid, unique, quiet, gorgeous 3600 sq ft home. From handcrafting a curved staircase wooden railing, to creating a custom paint and stain on concrete shingles to enable our vision of “wood-like” shingles, to rounded stone features, to seamless massive beam details and pitched ceilings, Sean had the team to do it, and the oversight to manage flawlessly.

Sean is so fun to work with us as a big bonus during our 13-month build! He is collaborative, and every sub contractor loved working with him and had incredible respect. He didn’t miss a day in getting teams on-site, and respectfully making decisions that weren’t always easy ones. He is amazing to see in action – always so many steps ahead of us – even though we are organized and kind of picky.

We quickly grew to 100% trust Sean and Scofield Homes. They are transparent, honest, caring, and very communicative. We knew what to expect every week and many times received daily reports in writing as to progress with their top-notch online portal they set up for us.

Sean helped us cost-engineer some important elements brilliantly. Only due to his involvement and ideas were we able to off set add-ons we had selected during the build in order to meet our original budget. Scofield Homes fees were worth every penny, and in the end, we believe they saved us money in the overall project. Post-build, we were asked my many people how stressful our build was, and “aren’t you glad it’s over”. They were always surprised to hear us say that we didn’t have a stressful build and that we actually miss Sean and his team!
