We were building our dream home, and were meticulous in choosing the architect, designer, and most importantly, General Contractor and build team.  After diligent reviews and meetings, we selected Scofield Homes. We knew we had complex design features in the plans – so it was such an amazing fit with Sean Scofield is a General Contractor - he has a passion for design and an excellent eye for detail.  From the planning stages, through to move in, Sean truly exceeded our expectations and needs at every turn. Melissa Scofield is the most organized and diligent partner for all of the admin and behind the scenes work, and together, they do not miss a beat.

The build team with Scofield is second to none. Sean carefully assembled a top quality team with the experience and expertise to build our solid, unique, quiet, gorgeous 3600 sq ft home. From handcrafting a curved staircase wooden railing, to creating a custom paint and stain on concrete shingles to enable our vision of “wood-like” shingles, to rounded stone features, to seamless massive beam details and pitched ceilings, Sean had the team to do it, and the oversight to manage flawlessly.

Sean is so fun to work with us as a big bonus during our 13-month build! He is collaborative, and every sub contractor loved working with him and had incredible respect. He didn’t miss a day in getting teams on-site, and respectfully making decisions that weren’t always easy ones. He is amazing to see in action – always so many steps ahead of us – even though we are organized and kind of picky.

We quickly grew to 100% trust Sean and Scofield Homes. They are transparent, honest, caring, and very communicative. We knew what to expect every week and many times received daily reports in writing as to progress with their top-notch online portal they set up for us.

Sean helped us cost-engineer some important elements brilliantly. Only due to his involvement and ideas were we able to off set add-ons we had selected during the build in order to meet our original budget. Scofield Homes fees were worth every penny, and in the end, we believe they saved us money in the overall project. Post-build, we were asked my many people how stressful our build was, and “aren’t you glad it’s over”. They were always surprised to hear us say that we didn’t have a stressful build and that we actually miss Sean and his team! We couldn’t recommend Scofield Homes more highly.

Sean Scofield and the entire team at Scofield Homes did an amazing job on our large home remodel project, which included demo of an old addition and replacing it with a two story addition, including living room, primary bedroom and ensuite bathroom, and full kitchen remodel. Not to mention that the addition was being added to a home that was 100 years old! We would have never been able to pull off this remodel without him! He seemed totally trustworthy right from the beginning, and after 8 months of work he proved it. Just an all around great guy. Super positive attitude, great problem solving skills, incredibly reliable, quality work, very knowledgeable. Melissa handles the finance side with strong communication skills and always there to answer any questions. All of the documents completely organized and everything done with top tier professionalism.

Sean and his team were responsive to all of our requests (e.g. saving our large tree during the construction) and worked with our budget...The work they did was high quality and on time. I can't emphasize enough - hiring Scofield Homes was the best decision we made when it comes to our home and we highly recommend their work! 5 stars to the entire team!
